Cause and Effect - Know What Counts

Were you in a better place ten years ago?  What about five years ago?   How about three or four years ago?   Do your answers go something like this?  Ten years ago I was doing great!  Five years ago, not so good.    And right now,  how's everything  going for you?

Find everyone who shares a common thread with you and if you hear the same answers, you are feeling the ripple effect from something that nobody wants to identify.  Someone has to ask the hard questions.  Make the hard decisions, not play it safe.  Life is too short for that.  It just so happens that  Chronic Toxic Encephalopathy  (CTE) is not related to any one specifc solvent making it difficult to diagnose with any certainty.  Organic solvents can dissolve grease, dirt, resins, oils, varnish and undiluted solvents are used to clean tools, brushes, work surfaces, and even hands.

Frequently used solvents include kerosene, acetone, turpentine, toluene, ethyl alcohol, etc.  Solvent blends are also common, for example lacquer thinners, mineral spirits, naphthas, and petroleum distillates.

When solvent blends are mixed with raw materials they become reactive chemicals, highly toxic mixtures with unknown effects that cannot be good.  Symptoms won't disappear when there are chemical reactions present and ignoring them won't make them less real. Almost all commercial cleaning and maintenance products contain hazardous chemicals in either water or solvent based formulas.

Solvents are used in fabric protectants, hair sprays, costume products,  removers, automobile waxing and polishing compounds, rubber protective dressing, plastics materials, metal cleaners, and some adhesives.   The chemicals and the symptoms outlined are real - you decide what the effects are and if you dare, leave your comments below.

Hazardous Chemicals In The Workplace Wreak Havoc on Customer Service

Customer Service may not be as important as you think. The world's BEST products are the more important to anyone who knows from experience what the world's best is and they are willing to pay with more than just cash to get it.

During the the last 10 years customers have experienced first hand the world's best bad online customer service of all time. Yet there is always a steady stream if repeat buyers who will do whatever it takes to get the World's best products.

Nothing else will satisfy anyone who has tried the World's Finest products on the planet. If there really are products that great, why don't more people know about them?

You don't tell friends you like about places with bad customer service or they'll get mad at you because they won't know why you sent them there. You would have to let them try some of your products so they know why but that's not going to happen. Hiding these products in the garage is common practice so nobody finds any left over to ask for.

Just telling someone how great the products are won't be enough to justify the bad customer service. You have to know by first-hand personal experience so you can make up your own mind about whether they are worth waiting for and getting no answers about when your order will be shipped.

Why is the most asked question of all.  They just want to know why their order isn't shipped sooner and sometimes if you're lucky it will be shipped withing a few days.

Sodium Metasilicate Corrosive. Carcinogenic Nitrosamines.

Sodium Dodecyl Sulfate. Sodium laureth sulfate. Sodium hydroxide (also known as lye, caustic soda, and soda lye) Corrosive. Eye, skin and respiratory irritant. Causes lung damage, blindness and can be fatal if swallowed. Found in a wide range of household cleaners including oven cleaners, tub and tile cleaners, toilet bowl cleaners and drain openers. Sodium laurel sulfate - also see 1,4-dioxane. Reported as toxic in many studies. Reacts with other ingredients to form carcinogenic nitrosamines.

The FDA has stated that levels of dioxin formation in products containing sodium laurel (laureth) sulfate are unacceptable. Studies have shown systemic heart, liver, and brain tissue penetration. Sodium lauryl sulfate - sodium laureth sulfate. Sodium metasilicate. Corrosive, skin and respiratory irritant. Inhalation can cause throat, lung and brain damage. Found in detergents and dishwashing detergents. Stoddard solvent - Petroleum distillate. Neurotoxic. Found in all-purpose cleaners, abrasives, and floor and auto waxes.

Sulfates - Sulfuric acid - see sodium bisulfate. Very corrosive, producing severe burns on contact. Found in toilet-bowl cleaners and metal polishes. TEA also known as triethanolamine, see DEA. Severe eye irritant. Can react with nitrites to form carcinogenic nitrosamines. Found in a wide range of household cleaning and personal-care products. Tetrapotassium pyrophosphate. Irritating, corrosive, and highly toxic.

Toluene, Xylene, petroleum distillates, Trichloroethylene (TCE) Highly toxic petrochemical solvent. Carcinogenic. Neurotoxic and reproductive effects. Found in spot removers, metal polishes, car cleaners, and engine paints. Inhalation and ingestion can lead to death. Found in cosmetics and degreasers Suspected carcinogen. Triethanolamine (TEA; see DEA) Reacts with nitrites to form carcinogenic nitrosamines.

Artificial fragrances are 95% derived from petrochemicals. The word "fragrance" listed on a label can indicate that as many as 600 separate chemicals have been used in the formula. Some, such as methylene chloride, are carcinogenic, and some contain or release formaldehyde. Germacides Mostly-synthetic bacteriacides - See benzalkonium chloride. Found in disinfecting hand soaps, dishwashing detergents, disinfectants, and cleaners.

Can be absorbed quickly through the skin. Found in some household cleaning products, paints, cosmetics, and perfumes. Hydrochloric acid. Found in aluminum cleaners and removers.

Kerosene (also mineral spirits)is Neurotoxic and damages lung tissues. May contain the carcinogen benzene. Found in all-purpose cleaners, furniture polishes, and waxes. MEA (monoethanolamine) Methanol (also known as methyl alchohol) Neurotoxic. Found in glass cleaners, some paint removers and strippers, and art products.

Polyethylene glycol, polyoxyethylene, "eth" (e.g., sodium laureth sulfate), Polysorbate 60 and polysorbate 80 Ammonium chloride, Ammonium hydroxide, Benzalkonium chloride Found in a wide range of household cleaning products, including glass cleaners, all-purpose cleaners, and disinfectants.

Benzene Carcinogenic. Harmful amounts may be absorbed through skin. Inhalation of fumes may be toxic. Cited by the EPA and OSHA as a threat to public health.

Found in oven cleaners, detergents, furniture polishes, spot removers, and nail-polish removers. Butane, Butyl cellosolve, ethylene glycol monobutyl ether, butoxyethanol, and butyl oxitol.

Highly toxic synthetic solvent and grease cutter that can irritate mucous membranes and cause liver damage. Readily absorbed through the skin; neurotoxic. Found in all-purpose cleaners and degreasers, window cleaners, and a wide range of other household cleaning products.

Butylparaben. Carbon disulfide (see organic solvents) Caustic soda (see sodium hydroxide) chlorine dioxide, diethanolamine, sodium dichloroixocyanurate, hydrogen chloride, and hydrochloric acid. D-limonene. DEA (also known as diethanolamine, triethanolamine, and monoethanolamine) Found in a wide range of household cleaning products.

Colors and dyes (FD&C or D&C) Artificial colors are made from petroleum and coal tar, and are believed to be cancer-causing agents and Neurotoxic. They are found on labels as "FD&C" or "D&C" and followed by a color and a number. Yellow, amber, green, or blue products are dyed with synthetic colors.

Solvent Syndrome linked to Brain Damage

In May 2001, a Louisville, Kentucky newspaper (the Courier-Journal) reported that unsafe handling of chemical solvent exposure, doctors had made estimates that over 600 railroad workers had developed mild to severe brain damage in the previous 15 years because of their occupational risks.

Over the years, railroad companies have paid tens of millions of dollars to settle chemical solvent cases brought by many workers who had long-term exposure to the common de-greasing solvents. The link between chemical solvent exposure and brain damage is characterized by short-term memory loss, irritation, paranoia, anxiety and diminished mental function.

Mood swings, confusion, irrational behaviour and disorientation are the result of exposure to chemical solvents because of negligent working conditions. It is estimated that many more workers have been affected by chemical solvent exposure but are not accounted for due to under reporting and misdiagnosis.
